Recently in passing conversation I have noticed way too many “My OB/GYN did this or that” or “The L&D nurse was such a bitch” or “my doctor clearly wanted to be someplace else” stories. While some women may not be phased by these experiences, many are. While they account for the minority these situations have been coming to light more so lately than ever before with the birth tides starting to change.
Two weeks ago, The Today Show ran a nasty smear piece on home births which they entitled “The Perils of Home Birth” which is where I came up with the name for this little pet project of mine.
